The heavy snowfall expected by Saturday morning will promote the formation of plaques. Météo France warns skiers.

Not all resorts are running at full speed, but the Alps are preparing for the joys of winter. This weekend, avalanches could occur above 2,000 m.

The risk of avalanches will be high this Saturday, November 24, according to Météo France, thanks to strong cumulus of snow.

The disturbance that affects the Alps will bring by 30 to 50 cm of snow above Saturday morning about 2,000 m on the mountains of the Southern Alps and Isere, less on those of Savoie and Haute -Savoie, plans the meteorological institute. The formation of plates will be favored by a strong southerly wind.

By tomorrow, we expect 30 to 50 cm of snow in #Alpes from the south above 2000 m.
