The Department of Public Works in Sharjah completed the implementation of the project of the detention building of Wasit police station in Al-Rumtha area, at a cost of 10 million dirhams, in addition to the new series of service buildings designed according to the latest and best technical methods in respect of these facilities and their specialties. To be added to the new series of service buildings in the suburbs, which was ordered by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in the framework of His Highness's keenness to provide a safe life for his citizens and residents in the Emirate.


Eng. Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Head of Public Works Department in Sharjah, said that the center is characterized by a design of the style derived from the local heritage with the highest standards of quality in terms of finishes on an area of ​​2000 square meters. It consists of two floors and contains 8 administrative offices and 14 collective detention centers with toilets. Each with a lounge, 6 separate locker rooms with its facilities, a reception hall and a waiting room with service tables to receive visitors and facilitate their affairs, open spaces including ventilation areas, 4 public toilets, a control room for services, Dith with visitors with the clinic rooms and services. The number of technical specifications for such buildings and security aspects was also considered in the design of the project. And the use of modern technological systems to develop and upgrade performance in various areas of work.


Al Suwaidi said that the new building contributes to the development of the national strategy for security security and the enhancement of security capabilities aimed at combating extraneous phenomena on society, providing the highest level of security services, and working to raise the technical and administrative level of the police units by providing the logistical support necessary to develop their performance.
