Sharjah, yesterday, concluded its qualitative participation in the 27th edition of the New Delhi International Book Fair, which lasted for nine days and was celebrated with 25 cultural events organized by Sharjah, which was a guest of honor at the exhibition.

The emirate was attended by a high-level delegation headed by Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qassimi, Head of Sharjah Government Relations Department, and included a number of officials and heads of cultural, academic and knowledge institutions in Sharjah. The exhibition was launched by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, "Baby Fatima and the Sons of the King", issued last year by Al Qasimi Publications in Arabic, and Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Ahmed bin Rakad Al Ameri, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Writers, President of the Union of UAE Writers and Literature Habib Sayegh.

The Emirate of Sharjah participated in a special pavilion supervised by the Sharjah Book Authority, which held a number of cultural, academic and knowledge institutions in Sharjah, including the Union of UAE Writers and Writers, the UAE Publishers Association, Sharjah Culture Department, Sharjah Heritage Institute, Sharjah Media Foundation, Emirates Council for Young People's Books, Culture Without Borders, 1001 Title, Al Qasimi Publications and Kalimat Group. On the sidelines of the exhibition, the seventh edition of the UAE-India Publishers Forum, the first forum dedicated to the publishing industry in India, was held for bookmakers and publishers from both countries, organized by the National Book Trust and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, , Discussing common challenges, identifying mechanisms to confront them, and involving a number of UAE and Indian CEOs, as well as a number of representatives of the publishing industry in both countries.
