Policemen discovered the skeleton of an infant in a Rostock apartment in a flower pot. Previously, the tenant of the apartment has been displayed, said the prosecutor. The 27-year-old woman was suspected by a relative to have hidden her dead child in the apartment.
According to the prosecutor, the baby was born "some time ago". It is still unclear whether it lived after the birth. The gender of the dead baby can not be determined at present.
"There is no evidence of intentional homicide," said spokesman for the prosecutor in Rostock, Harald Nowack. The woman's lawyer stated that his client would not provide any information. The suspect is currently at large.
