An ICE on the way from Munich to Hamburg has been stopped because of a bomb threat in Nuremberg and evacuated. All travelers had left the train intact, a spokesman for the Federal Police. The ICE will now be searched by police with five detection dogs. On board but no bomb was found.

According to the police spokesman, a concrete threat against the ICE 706 was received. The threat became known only after the departure of the train in Munich, then the stop in Nuremberg had been arranged. Where the threat came from and in what form, the spokesman did not want to say for tactical reasons.

Around 40 police officers are reportedly in action. The ICE had to stay in Nuremberg according to police. The numerous passengers had to continue their journey accordingly with other trains.

On October 7, there had been an attack on the railway line between Nuremberg and Munich. The windshield of an ICE had been damaged by a steel cable, the unknown perpetrators had stretched across the railway tracks in the Middle Franconian Allersberg near Nuremberg.

In the vicinity of the scene were next to several pieces of wood and iron according to Bavarian State Office of Criminal Investigation (LKA) also two threatening letters have been found, a completely preserved and a fragment. An Arab graffiti on a bridge pier also documented the officials.
