53 dried seahorses have been found by customs officials at Munich Airport in the luggage of a traveler. The man had the animals from Vietnam as a souvenir for friends and family, as the Main Customs Office announced Munich.
The seahorses are thus a protected species for whose import a license is required. However, according to the customs official, the traveler could not produce these. They confiscated the animals.
