This Tuesday, November 13, 2018, passengers of the TGV Lille-Lyon have witnessed a surreal scene on their arrival at Lyon Part-Dieu station. A Syrian passenger tried to immolate himself by the fire, splashing rosé wine on the platform of the station. He was quickly apprehended by the police.

It is approximately 4:15 pm when the TGV Lille-Lyon arrives at Lyon Part-Dieu station. The passengers begin to get off the train, until one of them decides to pour rosé wine, and try to self-immolation, reports Lyon Mag.

After his act, the individual decides to brandish his mobile phone, where a video of Daesh is exhibited. It was quickly mastered by a police officer and a military, who were not in service at the time of the facts, says the media.

The terrorist track not dismissed

Now in custody in one of the city's police stations, the alleged Syrian national would arrive directly from his country. At present, his motives are not known. The terrorist track is not dismissed by the investigators.
