An Indonesian woman burned her husband alive and died of his injuries because of his refusal to give her the password of his phone.

The incident occurred when the dispute between Didi Bournama and his wife, Ilham Kahiani, erupted after the latter asked her to reveal the password to open his phone, but the 26-year-old husband refused.

The East Lombok police in Indonesia said Bournama had beaten his wife as the controversy continued. She turned into a confrontation. Ilham brought a gas canister at home and poured it on her husband and then set it on fire.

The witness said that he rushed to the scene after seeing the flames erupt in the body of the husband, and tried to extinguish it.

The husband was immediately transferred to the Keruak Health Center where he underwent two days of treatment. The pictures showed that the upper part of the husband's body was burned and his burns were of varying severity.

Two days later, the husband died of his injuries, despite attempts by doctors to save his life.

After his death, the wife Ilham was arrested and detained in East Lombok County Prison on Lombok Island, Indonesia, but it was not known whether any charges had been brought against her, but the police opened an investigation into the incident.
