The album "Helene Fischer" by the same named singer leads the evaluation of the official German album charts for the year 2018, which the market research company GfK Entertainment has already presented - 24 days before the year ends.

"The desire to publish the Official German Yearly Chart at the beginning of Advent season has been recurrent over the past few years," says Mathias Giloth, Managing Director of GfK Entertainment. "The annual charts then provide orientation when needed" For many fans, artists, music makers and the media, that is usually already before Christmas.

"Helene Fischer" was already published in 2017 and also leads the album year evaluation of the past year. Helene Fischer is now leading the final evaluation with an album for the fifth time in six years, according to the announcement on the charts.

The most successful in 2018 published album was therefore "Palms of plastic 2", the joint album of rapper Bonez MC and RAF Camora. It had already made the Austrian the number one streaming reviewer. In third place is "Cloud 7" by Gzuz another album by a rapper of the Hamburg hip-hop crew 187 Straßenbande (in which Bonez MC raps).

Only Ed Sheeran (with his 2017 album "÷" was able to mix as an English-speaking artist in fifth place in the top ten, otherwise outweighs clearly German-speaking song by Frei.Wild, Herbert Grönemeyer, Ben sugar, Bushido, Santiano and Eloy de Jong.

In the evaluation of the single charts, the mash-up track "In My Mind" made it to number one, with the Lithuanian producer Dynoro mixing a song by Gigi D'Agostino with the house anthem "In My Mind". He was eleven weeks in the lead. In second place the song "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran and in third place the rap-hit "What you call love" by Bausa from Bietigheim-Bissingen.

Striking is the high hip-hop share in the hit list, it says of the chart investigators: About one-fifth of the 100 most successful singles 2018 come from German-speaking rappers.
