The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development Center in Umm Al Quwain celebrated the 47th National Day by organizing several cultural events for all groups under the slogan "This is Zayed, this is the UAE".

The two-day event included four programs, including the Heritage Village, the Village of the Child and the theater, as well as the village of supporting the UAE projects.

More than one hand participated in the activities of the National Day in the Cultural Center. The project support village included the participation of 30 Emirati projects that are interested in serving the popular Emirati cuisine, in addition to the various handicrafts and participation of the productive families in presenting their various products.

And the interaction of the public with the activities of the village heritage, which included various programs participated by the Umm Al-Qaiwain Folk Art Association to provide a painting of artistic heritage, including folk dances such as Alaiala, in addition to the introduction of sea music, which impressed the public and poetic poems.

The Heritage Village also included a heritage exhibition organized by the association, which included a collection of ancient heritage artifacts such as diving and tools used in the past. It also included a collection of photographs of the most important historical events in the UAE. Another section embracing the craftsmanship of the sea, , The so-called «Lekh» in the UAE dialect, and the rope industry, which is the heritage of the ancient Emirates. The Cultural Center Theater hosted art and folkloric performances, as well as various cultural competitions for the public.

For his part, the Director of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Umm Al Quwain Abdullah Ali Buasiba said that all the programs that were dedicated to the National Day celebrations in the center come within the framework of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development's keenness to promote the cultural heritage which is the basic building block of identity and culture to promote the values ​​of belonging and loyalty. .

Child Village

The children's village in the center of the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development in Umm Al-Qaiwain witnessed a turnout from the visitors, because of its programs, including technical workshops, the storytelling section which narrates children's stories, workshops for handicrafts such as sand painting, pottery and the small chef's corner.
