An unknown thing in a letter envelope injured four people in Munich, southern Germany.

A spokesman for the fire department said today that six people in the Episcopal Diocese had "solid brown material" this morning, adding that four of them had symptoms and were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.

After a preliminary examination of the envelope by experts, they were able to stop the warning, and explained that the envelope is not a toxic chemical, according to the spokesman.

The source of the letter has not yet been identified.
