Passengers at the Airport Hamburg have to adjust to this Thursday on significant restrictions on flight operations. The union Ver.di has called the ground personnel from 12.30 o'clock to close at midnight to a warning strike. "It is to be counted on flight delays and delays", it is said in a tweet of the Hamburg airport.

According to the airport, so far 251 flights have been planned in the announced strike period, including 114 departures and 137 arrivals. If they all fell out, that would affect nearly 30,000 passengers, a spokeswoman said.

The warning strike is among other things the employees of the luggage and aircraft handling. Passengers should therefore allow sufficient time and possibly only travel with hand luggage, advised the spokeswoman. "The renewed strike in the Hamburg school holidays, we consider irresponsible and unfair, since he meets especially the traveling families now."

Ver.di wants to raise the warning strike with the pressure in the current collective bargaining conflict. Employers and trade unions want to renegotiate after five unsuccessful collective bargaining rounds and a special discussion on 20 March. The tariffs are agreed in Hamburg for nearly 1000 employees in the baggage handling, the aircraft cleaning and in the bus transfer. The services are bundled in HAM Ground Handling.

Update on the BVD strike:
By strikes, the airlines have already cut 58 out of 388 flights (as of 6:40 am), which were planned for Hamburg today. In addition, the shuttle service of the Holiday Shuttle between the P9 car park and Terminals 1 and 2 has been discontinued. pic.twitter.com/nF4H2cbTWc

The employee representatives recently demanded a tariff increase of eight to twelve percent for a term of 20 months, as well as more appropriate time and shift surcharges. The employers' side claims to have offered a salary increase of 7.0 percent, with a 24-month term.

At the beginning of February, a warning strike at Hamburg Airport had already led to considerable disruption.
