The film "Day of the Statet", by Egyptian director Kamel Abouzkari, will be screened at the Podium Film Theater in Bayal, Switzerland, until the second of next month.
"Podium" was chosen as one of the best films screened at the Arab Film Festival in Zurich in 2018.
The "Satat Day", which was co-starred by Elham Shaheen, Nelly Karim and Nahed Sibai, won seven awards from international festivals including the Audience Award at the Arab Film Festival Rotterdam, Best Screenplay at the Sulaymaniyah International Film Festival in Iraq, Best Music, The third of the production of the National Festival of Egyptian Cinema, and the best long film from the Verona Festival of African Cinema.
"The Day of the Statet" takes place in a popular neighborhood in Cairo, where the youth center dedicates a special day to the women of the neighborhood in the swimming pool. As women and girls get used to the swimming pool, a series of events change their outlook on themselves and on all of life.
The "Women's Day" team is dominated by the female element in line with the events of the film. It is starring and producing Elham Shaheen through her company Shahine Film, directed by Kamel Aboukheri, composed by Hanaa Attieh and director Nancy Abdel Fattah. In addition to stars Mahmoud Hamida, Farouk Al Fishawi, Ahmed Al Fishawi, Iyad Nassar and Ahmed Dawood, while marketing and promoting the film MAD Solutions.
