Because of a deadly dispute following a wedding ceremony, the Berlin police proceeded with a large contingent against several alleged perpetrators. More than a hundred police officers, including members of special forces, arrested the men in Berlin and Brandenburg, according to the prosecution. Six apartments were searched, according to information.

The prisoners between the ages of 19 and 45 are accused of attempted manslaughter and serious bodily harm. They are said to have attacked a man in a restaurant in late October and seriously injured. According to investigators, the weapons included a hatchet, a hockey stick and a pistol.
