The founder of China's telecommunications giant Huawei, Ming Wangchu, and the financial director of the company were released on bail on Tuesday after a three-day hearing at a Canadian court in Vancouver.

The authorities ordered Ming Wanzhou to pay a bail of 10 million Canadian dollars ($ 7.47 million), including a cash deposit of $ 7 million. Meng will hand over her passports and comply with more than 12 conditions imposed by the court.

Among these conditions is the identification of its establishment and the wearing of a device that allows it to track its location at all times and to be monitored around the clock by a security team.

Ming, who was arrested in Vancouver earlier this month at the request of US authorities, will be allowed to wander around a strictly defined area of the city.

The 46-year-old Meng may face extradition to the United States for alleged violations of sanctions against Iran.
