An Australian study found that taking advantage of exercise is a key condition that depends on people's understanding of the benefits of exercise, as those who are aware of its benefits have been found to be more physically active.

Researchers at the University of Central Queensland surveyed 615 people to see how much they knew about the benefits of physical activity and the risk of laziness. The survey also included questions to measure the time they spent walking or doing a light activity such as swimming or more activity such as cycling.

Regular physical activity "reduces the risk of death for any reason by 30 percent and the risk of serious chronic diseases such as heart disease by 35 percent and type 2 diabetes by 42 percent," lead researcher Stephanie Squibb and colleagues wrote in the journal Place One. And colon cancer by 30 percent. "

They also wrote that "regular physical activity also increases the average age and improves the overall physical and health condition."

Almost all respondents agreed that physical activity was beneficial for health.

But participants were able to link 14 diseases and decreased physical activity among the 22 diseases that can be infected with any of them when they do not exercise much.

Most of the participants in the study were unable to estimate the increased risk of disease due to lack of exercise.
