Fine jewelry pieces that belonged to Queen Marie Antoinette, the wife of King Louis XVI, were on sale this Wednesday at Sotheby's in Geneva. The highlight of the sale has kept its promises.

A diamond pendant with a pearl-sized natural pearl was awarded 36 million dollars (about 31.8 million euros) on Wednesday evening in Geneva by Sotheby's, who had estimated it between 1 and 2 millions of dollars.

In total, the sale of ten exceptional jewelery belonging to a collection from the Bourbon-Parme family sprays the estimates.
