It is noted that the epicenter of aftershocks was located 78 km south of the village of Ust-Kamchatsk and 370 km north-east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
The center of the earthquake was located at a depth of 76.2 km in the waters of the Kamchatka Bay.
The energy class of the earthquake was 14.6.
The department added that the tremors were felt in several localities of the Kamchatka Territory, so in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky their strength reached 2 points, and in the villages of the Ust-Kamchatka region - from 3 to 5 points.
According to preliminary information, there are no victims of the earthquake in the region’s emergency services.
The threat of a tsunami was not announced.
In October, it was reported that an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude was recorded off the east coast of Kamchatka.
