"That's surreal": 23-year-old actress Emma Corrin has been selected to play the role of Princess Diana in the fourth season of The Crown. "I'll try to live up to her," the Brit wrote in a statement on Instagram.

Corrin is virtually unknown in the industry so far. In 2018 she starred in an episode of the British crime series "Grantchester" a minor role, her feature film debut in the dramatic comedy "Misbehavior" in England will come to theaters this year in the cinemas. Again, she plays next to Keira Knightley only a minor role.
The actress cast a spell over the creators in the casting, BBC.com quotes Peter Morgan, who writes and produces the series for Netflix. He describes Emma Corrin as a "brilliant talent". In another role, the actress Gillian Anderson has been occupied, she is to play Margaret Thatcher. An official confirmation is still pending.
Filming for the fourth season of "The Crown", which takes place in the eighties, is scheduled to begin in August 2019. When it is broadcast is not certain yet.
