What to do if you really want to see someone again, but only know the first name and a wrong mobile number? Carlos Zetina, a student in Calgary, Canada, has his own method: he simply enrolled all women named Nicole at the University of Calgary. And to be on the safe side, even Nicolettes and Nickies and other variations, as reported by "Buzzfeed".

The e-mail addresses he has taken from the university's online address book, said Zetina the Canadian broadcaster CBC. 247 women reportedly received the e-mail, including employees and teachers. In fact, Zetina's mass mailing was successful - but with a remarkable detour.

"If you're Nicole and you come from Holland and find Nietzsche depressing, write me," Zetina asked in the email. Many of the addressed Nicoles apparently found this so amusing that they started writing to each other. "I really wanted the right Nicole to be there!" One of the women told the Canadian television station CTV News Calgary.

The hashtag #nicolefromlastnight spread on Twitter, the Nicoles created the Facebook group "Nicole from Last Night" and even arranged a meeting. About 15 women took part. "We now have this Nicole network," said student Nicole Manaog of news agency AFP.

However, the popular Nicole from Holland was unfortunately not in the e-mail distribution list, because she did not have an e-mail address of the university as an exchange student. However, she became aware of the Facebook group on the whirlwind: "I did not get the nice email itself, but Nicole's strong network helped me get in touch," she wrote to the group.

Zetina had also written in his e-mail: "If you're the one I'm looking for, and just do not want to talk to me, that's okay." Fortunately, according to CityNews, the person concerned found the whole situation funny. The wrong mobile number was a mistake. She wants to meet Zetina again.

And the next group night of the Nicole network is already planned.
