Ezaki Glico, headquartered in Osaka, has announced that it will voluntarily recall about 800,000 of its 11 items, including retort pouch food, that may contain synthetic resin.
A total of 11 items will be voluntarily recalled, including 5 items such as Chinese rice bowls and sukiyaki rice bowls from "DONBURI-tei" sold by Ezaki Glico, and 2 items of "Takikomi Gozen".
The target is about 800,000 items with an expiration date from this month to July next year.
From April this year to the 5th of this month, a total of 5 reports of ``there is a foreign object in the product'' have been received.
When the company investigated, the foreign object was about 1.3 cm to 2.9 cm in size, and it was found to be a synthetic resin used for air conditioner filters.
It is likely that it was mixed with the Chinese shiitake mushrooms used in the product, so we decided to collect the product using raw materials produced by the same supplier.
The company said, "We have determined that there is no impact on health."
Ezaki Glico commented, ``We deeply apologize for causing great trouble to our customers and retailers.''
