China News Service, August 16. On the 16th, the State Administration for Market Regulation publicly solicited opinions on the "Guidelines for the Standardization of Blind Box Business Activities (Trial) (Draft for Comment)".

The draft proposes to stipulate that blind box operators shall not sell blind boxes to minors under the age of 8.

When selling blind box products to minors aged 8 and above, the consent of the relevant guardian should be confirmed through on-site inquiries or online identification.

Blind box operators should remind in a prominent way that minors aged 8 and above should obtain the consent of the relevant guardians to purchase blind boxes.

Local relevant departments are encouraged to introduce protective measures to specifically regulate the sales model of blind boxes around primary school campuses, including distance and content.
