A vending machine for exclusive use of masks that can be purchased 24 hours a day has been set up in the city of Hamamatsu City in order to let people know the goodness of cloth masks made from "Enshu woven fabrics" that are transmitted to western Shizuoka prefecture.

This initiative was planned by a council made by Hamamatsu City and Enshu Textiles business operators. The vending machine installed near JR Hamamatsu Station has 18 types of masks for children and adults. Are lined up.



Enshu Textile has been developed in the western part of Shizuoka prefecture, where cotton has been cultivated since the Edo period, and it is characterized by its natural texture and gentle touch.

The masks on sale are made of silk or linen for summer, and in addition to simple white, there are also colorful patterns and processing that feels cold, and the price is from 600 yen to 1000 yen.



The vending machine will be installed by the end of March next year, and it will be sold warm during the chilly season.
