The assumption of June 15 was not confirmed on Wednesday by the government spokesperson. "We need time to develop the various scenarios for resumption of activity, so I obviously can not confirm this date of June 15," said Sibeth Ndiaye after the Council of Ministers.

For several days, players in the sector have been calling on the government to face an unprecedented crisis affecting the sector and many companies of which are in very difficult financial situations.

Professionals lean for May

The special plan planned by the executive should include additional aid to the measures already implemented by the government.

Laurent Lutse, the president of the Hotel Trades and Industries Union (UMIH), said he was in favor of reopening bars and restaurants for mid-May on the BFM channel.

His union has proposed the implementation of a series of measures to get out of the economic and health crisis, including 100% coverage of inventory losses by insurance or the exemption of contributions from the 2nd quarter.
