It was discovered that a private academy foundation in the metropolitan area was receiving money from some applicants and leaked test questions while conducting the selection process for high school teachers.

Today (5th), the Intelligent Crime Investigation Unit of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency announced that it is investigating 22 people, including the Chairman of the Private Academy Foundation, and 13 illegally hired teachers on charges of interfering with work and resignation.

A total of three people, including the son A of the chairman of the foundation, and two fellow teachers, who judged the charges to be serious, were sent to the prosecution in the opinion of the prosecution.

Mr. A and colleagues, who work as high school administrators, are

accused of leaking written evaluation questions, answer sheets, and interview questions after receiving tens of millions of won each from some applicants in

the

2020 full-time teacher open recruitment test

held in February

.

They were investigated to commit crimes after meeting with the test questionnaire and receiving the unsealed test questions and answer sheets.

The 13 applicants who received the questionnaire passed the test with significantly higher grades than other applicants.

The police said, "All 13 successful candidates have confirmed that the test papers and answer sheets have been delivered in advance," and said, "Some of them have identified the circumstances of giving money to the Foundation, and the remaining successful candidates are also being investigated."

It turns out that the private school foundation has adhered to the recruitment method through its own examination despite the opposition from the Gyeonggi-do Office of Education several times.

In the end, a complaint was filed with suspicion of illegal hiring, and the crime was revealed as a result of the police seizing and searching for an investigation request from the Provincial Office of Education.

Upon receiving the results of the police investigation, the Provincial Office of Education requested the high school to terminate the contract of the parties who had been hired as full-time teachers along with the job system of three faculty members, including Mr. A, who was involved in hiring corruption.

The Provincial Office of Education said, "We will strictly respond to the charges of corruption that will be revealed in future investigations."
