In order to resolve the serious shortage of teachers, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will exempt those who have completed training at teacher's graduate schools or other graduate schools from receiving scholarships from those who pass the recruitment examinations in the new academic year. I did.

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology presented a concrete policy proposal regarding exemption from teacher scholarship refunds at a subcommittee of the Central Council for Education held on the 19th.

In response to the shortage of teachers, it is important to address both the quality and quantity of ``improving the teaching profession'' and ``increasing the number of applicants,'' and the exemption is targeted primarily at those who have completed teaching graduate schools. However, it also includes people who have completed practical training at schools at graduate schools other than teaching graduate schools.

The program will start with the recruitment exams in the new academic year, and if the students are hired as full-time teachers at either public or private schools, they will be exempt from having to repay the scholarships they borrowed for graduate school.

Committee members suggested that future issues to be considered include, ``It is necessary to monitor the effects of repayment exemption,'' and ``Isn't it necessary to take into account that the recruitment examination ratio varies by region, and to expand the system from lecturers to full-time teachers?'' '', but the draft policy was approved unanimously.

At the meeting, there was also an opinion that ``people who graduate from universities and become teachers should also be targeted,'' and they will continue to consider this.

In response to the decision, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will organize the specific conditions and make them known to target graduate schools and each board of education by the new academic year's recruitment exam.
