As the first divisional competition of the competition, a total of 127 players from Hubei, Hunan, Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan and Guangxi participated in the competition.

  The event is hosted by the China Weiqi Association and was founded in 2018. It is one of the most important mass Weiqi events in China.

The competition consists of three categories: the famous hand group, the famous teacher group and the famous group.

This year's competition consists of 4 regional competitions and the finals. The regional competitions are held in Nanjing, Jiangsu, Xi'an, Shaanxi, Nanning, and Tianjin, respectively. The finals are held in Maotai Town, Guizhou.

  Lin Jianchao, chairman of the China Go Association, introduced that under the premise of normalizing epidemic prevention and control, players are looking forward to the opportunity to communicate offline.

The State Sports General Administration recently issued a notice to promote the development of sports events, calling for an increase in the supply of offline sports events. This competition is a leading and exemplary event.

Due to the epidemic, there were only seven days from the application approval to the opening of the competition. Guangxi showed its efficiency in the organization of the game of Go.
