Donald Trump won the Republican primary in Iowa on Monday evening, according to US media projections, consolidating his status as the right's favourite for the November presidential election.
According to CNN and CBS, the four-time indicted former president is ahead of rivals Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis in the Midwestern state, which kicks off the Republican presidential primary season.
