Louise Hansson had the lead after half the race and did not slow down.

She finished as the winner of the first semifinal in the time 25.83, which is a new Swedish record.

It is also the seventh best time ever in the world.

- It's so much fun to compete right now and I'm just trying to enjoy it.

I try not to put any major pressure on myself and it works very well, says Louise Hansson to SVT Sport after the race.

- It is completely unreasonable that backstroke goes so well.

I could not have dreamed of that.

Hanna Rosvall swam in the second semifinal where she finished sixth in 26.39, a new personal best.

But that is not enough for a final place.

But the Swede is in first place.

- It's a really good time.

Better than I ever thought I would do but it was a bit unnecessary.

I would have liked to swim in that final, says Rosvall to SVT Sport.
