As usual, the English football season began with the decision in the Community Shield.

On Saturday night it was time again.

FA Cup winner Leicester City faced Premier League champions Manchester City.

Leicester opened the best and were also the closest to getting the goal scorer loose when Jamie Vardy got a great position from close range just before half time, but City goalkeeper Zack Steffen steered the ball into the post.

In the second half, City switched up and just over 20 minutes in, it was time for the record signing Jack Grealish to be replaced to great cheers from his new supporters.

But after just over 80 minutes, it was still not possible to separate the teams.

Shortly afterwards, however, former Manchester City player Kelechi Iheanacho got the chance for Leicester from the penalty spot and managed it in the best way.

Zack Steffen went in the right direction and was on the ball, but the penalty was hit so well that it found its way into the net anyway.

A goal that became match decisive and Leicester thus secures the first title during the English football season.

In connection with a Leicester corner early in the second half, a Leicester supporter went down to the pitch and took a selfie with Leicester's James

Maddison.

Shortly afterwards, the support was led away from the stands and taken care of by security personnel.
