Brynäs finished 12th in SHL after a tough season.

At the beginning of January, head coach Magnus Sundquist was fired and replaced by Ove Molin and Mikael Holmqvist as a temporary solution.

It is now clear that Peter Andersson will take over.

The 43-year-old comes most recently from four seasons as coach for Malmö but was without a job since his contract was previously broken with two years left on the contract.

- It is one of the best coaches in SHL. It feels fantastic that we have been able to connect him to us. He, along with others, of course, has done very good things with small funds in previous assignments, says managing director Michael Sundlöv in a press release.

Andersson has previously, among other things, brought Örebro to SHL and trained Swiss Lugano.

The contract is written in three years.
