Dutch goalkeeper Tim Kroll responded to a penalty shootout, leading his club Norwich City to outpace Tottenham and advance to the FA Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.

The goalkeeper revealed the secret of his brilliance in the penalty shootout with a picture of a water bottle that was beside his goal during the series of kicks that settled the confrontation.

Kroll wrote the players ’names on the water bottle, and next to each name he wrote the prospect of who would hit the ball.

It seemed that the Dutch goalkeeper prepared well for the match, put the possibility of a penalty shootout, and resorted to studying the style of each player to find out the preferred point of the shot, efforts that resulted in Wrich qualifying for the first time for the quarter-finals of the Federation Cup 28 years ago.

"Everyone says I am good at penalty kicks, so I knew I had to save some," he said after the match. "My coach and I do our duty and write a way to play Tottenham players on the water bottle, and this happens in a penalty shootout."

Kroll, 31, said he was happy with the win and said it could be a turning point in the team's efforts to secure survival in the Premier League.

Norwich is in last place, six points behind the safety zone, but the attractive team’s playing style gives hope for survival.
