Zlatan's statue has been vandalized on several occasions during the fall, but for the first time it has been destroyed to such an extent that it was forced to be transported from there, as it has been sawn off at its feet.

- You are disappointed, it is unworthy. We are talking about an athlete who has done so much for the sport and for football in particular. But also a symbol of so much else, all that he has done, and which he still does and stands for during his journey.

- The formal responsibility and decision on the future it is in the hands of the City of Malmö. But we did a dialogue with the city of Malmö and also with Peter Linde, who made the statue.

How do you see one raising a statue of a still living person?

- The problem is, if we are to be honest, the vandals and individuals who destroy. We have other football players, like Messi, Ronaldo, Pelé, and we also have another in Sweden with Henke Larsson. So it must be stated that it is these individuals who destroy that is the problem.

The city of Malmö thinks the vandalism is sad, and will report the incident to the police.

- It is extremely regrettable, it is a crime and we will report it to the police. The plan during the day is to investigate the possibility of removing the statue so that it can be repaired, says Malin Tykesson, head of communications at the Recreation Administration.
