Garpenlöv's men had a tough first period against the Czech Republic in the opening match of the Karjala Tournament. The Czechs pressed for 1-0 but after qualified play from Adam Reideborn it was pointless in the break.

In the second period, the blue-yellow team came out stronger but after just over five minutes came the expected lead goal for the Czechs. Dmitri Jaskin intercepted a return and sprinted 1-0 above Reideborn's shoulder.

- This is almost intolerable and seen from the match it is very well deserved, comments Chris Härenstam in SVT's broadcast.

- That is strong by Jaskin. Although the puck is so far from Jaskin's body there, he still finds that little, little hatch, says SVT Sports expert Jonas Andersson about the goal.
