The Argentines Sanyo Gutiérrez and Maxi Sánchez have won this Sunday the fourth title of the Damm Menorca Open season of the Padel World Tour , after those of Marbella, Logroño and Vigo, by defeating the Spaniards Javi Ruiz and Uri Botello in the final 6-4 and 6-3 in an hour and a half match.

In the women's team, the twins María José and María Pilar Sánchez Alayeto have proclaimed themselves champions in the first final they access this season after defeating world numbers two Alejandra Salazar and Ariana Sánchez 5-7; 7-6 (5) and 6-1.

Gutierrez and Sanchez had to deploy a high-level paddle in the Menorca Pavilion of Mahón to overcome Ruiz and Botello, who had agreed to a final for the first time. The winners brought out their greater experience in the key points in both sets, demonstrating by far the virtues that led them to lead the rankings, both couples and individuals.

In the first round, after several mutual breaks of serves, the South American players prevailed their greatest technique to overcome the game of their rivals, brilliant at times especially by Uri Botello, and go to rest with advantage. In the second set, Sanyo and Maxi gave no options and resolved the game with mastery to proclaim themselves champions before a Menorca Pavilion full to overflowing

" We have worked a lot as a team , we have matured to overcome these last two months that have been bad for us," Maxi "Tiburon" Sanchez said at the foot of the track, alluding to not celebrating a title since the Vigo Open of the past Month of May. His partner Sanyo Gutierrez also influenced the maturation process he had experienced with Maxi. " We have matured as people , we have known how to respect each other and spend many hours on the track with the aim of improving in all aspects," said Sanyo.

The women's final, on the other hand, was decided after three hours and twenty minutes of intense battle over the Menorcan track. The twins Sánchez Alayeto, in their first final of the season, came back to win over Alejandra Salazar and Ariana Sánchez.

The first set was decided in favor of Salazar-Sánchez after six match balls and one hour and 19 minutes of intense fight on the track (7-5). Even more tight, it was the second sleeve that lasted two hours and forty minutes with a tiebreaker that fell on the side of the twins 7-6 (5).

In the third set, Salazar-Sánchez paid dearly for the remarkable physical effort deployed and fell by a resounding 6-1, a result that crowns the great tournament held by the Sánchez Alayeto twins in Menorca.
