On the morning of the 17th, a Miyazaki Prefectural Police Headquarters bus that was heading to support areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake overturned on the Sanyo Expressway in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. None of the 10 police officers, including the bus driver, were injured, but part of the Sanyo Expressway in Hiroshima Prefecture has been closed due to the accident.

At around 7:30 a.m. on the 17th, a Miyazaki Prefectural Police Headquarters bus overturned near the Obadani Tunnel on the Sanyo Expressway up line in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.



There were 10 police officers on board the bus, including the driver, but no one was injured.



According to police, the bus was headed for Ishikawa Prefecture to provide support in areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake.



The bus was overturned, blocking the road, and the Sanyo Expressway's inbound line between Mihara Kui Interchange in Mihara City, Hiroshima Prefecture and Onomichi Interchange in Onomichi City has been closed since 7:45 a.m.



The scene was a nearly straight road with two lanes on each side, and police are currently investigating the details of the accident.
