• Sumar Yolanda Díaz signs Pablo Bustinduy, errejonista reference of the first Podemos, for the campaign team of Sumar
  • Negotiations The internal war shakes the construction of Sumar: the commons denounce that Podemos negotiates to go with ERC to the generals
  • 23-J Pablo Iglesias accuses Más Madrid, comunes and Compromís of vetoing Podemos in the lists

Yolanda Díaz continues to shape her candidacy for the general elections in parallel to the negotiations she has with fifteen parties, including Podemos, to put together a coalition. The new move of the second vice president has been the appointment of Ernest Urtasun (Barcelona, 1982) as campaign spokesman for Sumar for 23-J, sources from this space report.

Urtasun is a prominent member of Catalunya en Comú who comes from ICV. His appointment strengthens the privileged relationship that Díaz maintains with the political space led by Ada Colau. It so happens that, in addition, the announcement coincides with the attack launched by Pablo Iglesias against the commons, which he is openly accusing of torpedoing the agreement by imposing "vetoes" on the leaders of Podemos occupying positions in the electoral lists of Catalonia. This statement has been flatly denied by sources of the Catalan force, which in turn has denounced that Podemos is holding talks with ERC for a possible electoral alliance.

The Catalan politician is an economist and career diplomat and since 2014 he has been an MEP in Brussels, where he is about to complete two terms. The candidate of En Comú Podem is framed there, not in the group of the left with the other members of Podemos and IU, but in the group of The Greens, where he serves as vice president of that parliamentary group.

Sumar has highlighted his commitment to the ecological vision. "From Sumar we are building a project with social and climate justice at the center and therefore, we aspire to build a country that carries out a just ecological transition that has the world of work inside," he said.

Yesterday Sumar also announced the signing of Pablo Bustinduy for the campaign team. It is one of the main errejonista references that were in the direction of Podemos before the mass departure of the people of this current. His recovery for the front line shows where Díaz is going and what is the conception he has of the coming weeks: positive messages, with a lot of substance and form but from a more friendly and moderate style.
