The Israeli occupation army said that a settler was lightly injured on Tuesday evening after his car was shot near the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus in the West Bank.

The Israeli army said it was conducting combing operations in Nablus after unknown assailants opened fire from inside a car at a settler and fled the area.

Israeli Army Radio said that a speeding car on Huwara Road fired several bullets at a settler's car, wounding him and withdrawing the perpetrator.

According to Hebrew sources, the car of the settler injured in the attack was hit by 12 bullets.

According to the Palestinian news agency Safa, the occupation forces deployed in the area, forced the owners of shops in Huwara to close them, and reinforced their presence in search of the perpetrator of the attack.

Meanwhile, they raided the Bir Quza area in the town of Beita and began combing the area.
