Al Jazeera obtained photos showing traces of Israeli tanks in the vicinity of the Shifa Medical Complex in the northern Gaza Strip, running over Palestinian citizens after they were evacuated from the hospital and while they were trying to reach a safe place.

The pictures show half the body of an injured Palestinian with a cast on one of his legs. He was run over by an Israeli tank after he tried to escape by crawling.

For the fifth day in a row, the occupation army continues to storm Al-Shifa Hospital, which housed more than 7,000 patients and displaced persons, and carries out a massive arrest campaign among the displaced and bombs the homes surrounding the hospital, leaving dozens dead and wounded.

Assassination of 4 civilians

The presentation of the new images comes after Al Jazeera broadcast yesterday, Thursday, exclusive scenes from an Israeli drone, showing the targeting of 4 Palestinian civilians in the Al-Sika area in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.

The scenes were taken from an Israeli march that was shot down in Khan Yunis at the beginning of last February. They show the four young Palestinian men being pursued while they were unarmed and targeted with several missiles. Two of them were martyred with the first missile, then the third was martyred, and then the fourth was martyred with two other missiles.

It clearly appears from the clip that the four civilians do not carry weapons and do not pose any danger. After the first targeting, two young men were martyred, while a third appeared walking away from where the missile fell.

It appears in the clip that one of the four young men is still moving, while the march did not leave the place, as it continued to pursue the remaining two young men, before re-bombing them, causing them to be martyred and to join their companions.

The occupation army continues its violations and direct targeting of defenseless civilians throughout the Strip, especially around and inside Al-Shifa Hospital, where the government media office in Gaza said that the occupation army executed more than 50 civilians during its storming of Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

Eyewitnesses also reported that 3 patients in the hospital died, because the occupation army prevented the arrival of medicines to the hospital, which imposed a tight siege on it with dozens of tanks and military vehicles.

Witnesses reported that Israeli aircraft bombed 3 homes of the “Habush” family in the vicinity of the hospital, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

They pointed out that dozens of wounded people who were injured by shelling or gunfire from the Israeli army died on the roads in the areas surrounding the hospital, due to the inability of ambulance crews or even civilians to reach them.

The Israeli army also arrested dozens of residents of homes adjacent to the hospital, including an elderly woman from the “Nawati” family, over 94 years old, and took her to an unknown destination. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the occupation forces detained about 240 patients, their companions, and 10 health personnel in the hospital building today.

Israeli forces also destroyed and burned dozens of homes in the vicinity of the hospital.

Slow execution

In a statement, the Civil Defense in Gaza accused the Israeli occupation the day before yesterday, Wednesday, of “refraining from coordinating with international bodies such as the Red Cross,” in order to allow its crews to arrive to rescue hundreds of wounded citizens whose appeals it received in the vicinity of the hospital.

He considered that the occupation's decision to prevent coordination was "an extension of the policy of slow execution of innocent and wounded citizens under siege."

The government media office in Gaza also said yesterday, Thursday, that the Israeli army deliberately killed 13 patients inside Al-Shifa Hospital by denying them medicine, food, medications, and oxygen in the intensive care rooms.

It is noteworthy that this is the second time that Israeli forces have stormed the hospital since the beginning of the war on Gaza. They stormed it last November 16 after besieging it for a week. During the storm, its courtyards, parts of its buildings, medical equipment, and an electricity generator were destroyed.
