From May 5th to 18th, a delegation of 20 people from the Guangfu Township Representative Association of Hualien County, Taiwan, visited the famous tourist city of Guilin, Guangxi Province, to taste Guilin rice noodles, view famous historical and cultural buildings, tour the historical streets and alleys of the Ming and Qing dynasties, deeply feel the local nightlife, and "learn from the scriptures" the way of cultural tourism integration and development.

On the evening of the 18th, the members of the delegation first came to Guilin's historical and cultural landmark - the reconstructed Xiaoyao Building. Built in the Tang Dynasty, Xiaoyao Tower was once named with the Yellow Crane Tower, Tengwang Pavilion, Yueyang Tower and other human and geographical coordinates, and the reconstructed Xiaoyao Tower is located next to Binjiang Road on the west bank of the Li River. Climbing the tower, you can see the Elephant Trunk Mountain, Zizhou, Qixingyan, Fubo Mountain and Li River in Guilin's city emblem.

Adjacent to Xiaoyao Building, in Zhengyang East and West Alley, which is the architectural style of green brick gray tile Guibei ancient folk house, Guilin rice noodles, tofu flowers, oil tea, pine candy, osmanthus cake, Changsha stinky tofu, juice and other snacks and commodities are dazzling, which once again evokes Liao Yijun's homesickness.

"Hualien Dongdamen Night Market is also as lively as here, with many very authentic snacks such as Hualien potatoes, mochi, creamy crisp strips, fried crabs, ethnic minority specialties, stinky tofu, etc., which are deeply loved by diners." Liao Yijun introduced that Taiwan's Hualien County is also a beautiful place, and the world-famous Taroko Gorge is located there.

Located in the center of Guilin, Zhengyang East and West Alley in front of the Zhengyang Gate of the Jingjiang Royal Mansion is the only historical street left over from the Ming and Qing dynasties in Guilin. In 2013, the Guilin Municipal Government launched the Zhengyang East-West Alley Protective Repair and Rectification Project. After the renovation, Zhengyang East and West Alleys restored the Ming and Qing ancient style buildings, which is the only remaining block with the longest house age in Guilin City, and is also a viewing area of Guilin's ancient historical style, known as "the only specimen of old Guilin streets and alleys".

Zheng Wan, who is in his sixties, is a representative of the Hualien County Guangfu Township Representative Association, and he is pleased that despite the rapid development of Guilin in recent years, the original scenery and ancient architectural style have been well protected.

For a long time, Taiwanese tourists visiting Guilin accounted for two-thirds of the inbound tourists in Guangxi, and at its peak, 80,<> Taiwan compatriots entered the country, making it the largest source of overseas tourists in Guilin.
