A 40-year-old man has been arrested in the Alicante town of Benidorm after rushing from the balcony of a hotel his sentimental partner, 36, who is hospitalized and with serious injuries.
As reported by the National Police, the detainee is a British citizen, and the woman, of the same origin, is admitted to the Hospital of La Vila.
The event took place around midnight, when the woman rushed into the street from a sixth or seventh floor, the same sources have said.
When the agents arrived at the place, the husband was in the hotel room and has been detained "preventively", while statements are taken from possible witnesses and evidence is collected to clarify what happened, those responsible for the investigation have pointed out.
