The Civil Guard has arrested a woman for sedating a man in a

hotel in Massalfassar

(Valencia) to use his credit card, from which charges of money withdrawals and web purchases appeared for an amount of 1,100 euros.

The 56-year-old

woman

sedated her victim in a hotel during an intimate encounter over a drink, stole her credit card and threw her mobile phone into the toilet.

The analytical tests of the victim, a

63-year-old

man , tested positive for "benzodiazepines", a psychotropic medication that acts on the nervous system with sedative, hypnotic, amnesic and muscle-relaxing effects, according to the Civil Guard.

The woman was arrested

on January 11

as part of Operation "SLEEP@", after the victim noticed charges on her credit card for money withdrawals and web purchases.

The detainee is accused of a continuing crime of

fraud and robbery with violence

and has been presented before the Court of First Instance and Instruction 5 of Sagunto.
