Lavrov accused the West of unwillingness to allow a new rapprochement between Germany and Russia

He said this in an interview for the information and educational lesson "Talk about the Important", dedicated to the topic "Russia and the World".

Now the plan, which is being implemented through “inciting” Ukraine against Russia and waging a war of the entire West against Russia through Ukraine, to a large extent involves preventing a new rapprochement between Germany and Russia, the words of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry are quoted on the agency’s website.

Lavrov noted that as soon as the historical turns on the Eurasian continent made Russia and Germany allies, "they succeeded and their influence increased sharply." 

Earlier, American human rights activist and former vice presidential candidate from the Green Party Ajamu Baraka called Germany the second after Russia the US target in Ukraine.
