The Indonesian government has revealed that the death toll has increased to 133 due to a series of children dying from ``acute kidney injury'' in which kidney function suddenly declines in Indonesia.

Hazardous chemicals have been detected in five domestically manufactured syrup drugs, and we are rushing to investigate whether there are other such drugs.

The Indonesian Ministry of Health held a press conference on the 21st, and the number of reports of ``acute kidney injury'', in which kidney function suddenly declines in a short period of time, has increased, with 241 cases and 133 deaths from January to October 21. I made it clear that I was going up to people.

About 70% of patients are children under the age of 5.

According to the National Drug and Food Administration, harmful ethylene glycol, which is used in car engine antifreeze, has been detected in five domestically manufactured syrups among the drugs that patients have taken so far. That's it.

In addition, the Ministry of Health also tested 11 patients and revealed that seven of them had positive reactions such as ethylene glycol from their bodies.

The Indonesian government has ordered a temporary suspension of prescriptions and sales of all types of syrup medicines, and hastened an investigation to see if there are any drugs containing harmful substances besides the five drugs.
