On Wednesday evening, the police were called to Blackeberg-Södra Ängby due to a man running around with a knife.
When the first patrol arrived at the scene, the police fired their service weapon at the man with the knife.
The man who was shot is 45 years old and has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
- He is awake and talkative, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
In retrospect, the police have received information that the man with the knife has attacked another person who, however, has not been injured.
The police are classifying the incident as attempted murder.
