Russian diplomat Tyazhlova called blocking the account of the permanent representative in Geneva unacceptable

She said this at a meeting of the UN Open-ended Working Group.

Tyazhlova said that today the Russian side became aware that one of the Swiss banks blocked the personal account of the Russian permanent representative in Geneva.

“We consider such a discriminatory policy unacceptable,” TASS quoted her as saying.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Lavrov, said that the blocking by the United States of foreign assets of states is not just robbery, but a violation of the socio-economic rights of citizens.
