AFP news agency reported, citing Iran's state-run IRNA, that Vice Foreign Minister Choi Jong-gun, who visited Iran, met with Iran's foreign minister in Tehran yesterday local time.
Choi Jong-gun, the first vice minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who arrived in Tehran yesterday (10th) is known to have met with Iran's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Abbas Arakchi.
The details of the discussion between the two sides are still unknown.
Deputy Minister Choi previously arrived in Tehran via Doha, Qatar.
Vice Minister Choi is scheduled to proceed with negotiations for the early release of Korean ships and crew members detained in Iran, starting with an interview with Vice Minister Arakchi.
