First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong-gun said he is very sorry that the situation in which Korean ships were detained in Iran was severe and said he would do his best to discuss with Iran.



Vice Minister Choi said, “I met reporters at Incheon International Airport before leaving for Iran in the early morning of today (10th) and said, “I look forward to deep dialogue with key Iranians because of the history and trust that Korea and Iran have cooperated a lot with.



After joining the local working-level delegation in the afternoon, Vice Minister Choi is expected to propose some sort of solution to Iran's demand to allow South Korea to pay for Iran's frozen crude oil exports.
