According to him, the Russian leader was invited to visit Pyongyang during a summit at the Vostochny Cosmodrome in September 2023 by Chairman of State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong-un.
“This invitation was confirmed during the recent visit to our country by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, Choi Song Hui. The specific dates of the visit will be agreed upon through diplomatic channels,” RIA Novosti quotes Zhelokhovtsev.
One of the topics of Putin’s meeting with the head of the DPRK Foreign Ministry was the situation on the Korean Peninsula. However, the main emphasis was placed on the development of bilateral relations.
Earlier, the office of assistants to the head of the DPRK Foreign Ministry called Putin the closest friend of the Korean people.
