Malaysia: getting married by webcam during the coronavirus era

How to get married when you are confined? All over the world, engaged couples are asking the question. In Malaysia, the issue has been studied by the religious courts that govern the lives of Muslims in the country, and an initiative has been proposed: say yes by webcam.

This initiative is unprecedented in Malaysia and the Minister of Religious Affairs, who is also a mufti, a Muslim judge, welcomes it. Posted on his Facebook page, he wrote in caption of this video: Ahmdullilah, Bravo to the newlyweds for this ceremony in accordance with the decision of the National Council for Islamic Affairs of Malaysia.
To find each other, these first spouses who said yes via a screen will have to wait until April 28 minimum, the current date of confinement.
